Afternoon All,

In the midst of making more daisies for this week’s wedding my mind drifted back to the delicate cakes I made for Emma and Andy in March and spookily enough their photographer Claire from Woodland Hill Photography sent me some collages of those very cakes!  So to live life on the wild side I thought I would take a break from my wedding cake preparations for The Ravenswood in Sharpethorne and take you back to wedding cakes at South Lodge Hotel.

Claire has produced two collages, the first shows the cakes in situ during the day and at South Lodge they sit to the side of the top table, once the wedding breakfast has finished the team at South Lodge transform the room for the evening reception.  My cakes were moved from their daytime home to be resplendent in the middle of the dance floor ready for cutting.  Claire reliably informs me that it took three people to move the table and three to hold the tower along with Claire holding the cloth the ensure those little babies stayed put!

The second collage shows them in the evening light and I am rather pleased with how they transform from day to night in the blink of an eye; unlike me who takes a little longer these days!

So enjoy and I will now go back to pushing daisies…sorry couldn’t resist.

I will try to get an image of this week’s cake and post a sneak peek up for you to see.

Eat cake and be merry.

Love
