It has been busy in the La Maison kitchen here in East Sussex and we had a request from Hove in West Sussex.T

This bespoke Sweet 16 birthday cake was made for a very special young lady in Hove West Sussex who was celebrating her big Sweet 16 birthday with friends and family.
After a secret chat with mum and a few ideas from Amy we were on our way. The different layers of fading pink sponge were fun and took a bit of working out! The end result was gorgeous and was a surprise to the guests who all agreed it was delicious as well as beautiful.
Our Amy loves to shop in Brighton and as she lives on the Sussex coast we had to incorporate flip flops for the Brighton beach!
The 4 tiered sponge was different shades of pink inside and was full of fluffy buttercream and strawberry and champagne jam! A truly decadent mix of delicousness!
Jack Wills gift bags and Victoria’s Secret style underwear along with pretty handbags, daisies and lots of love completed this very gorgeous and girly cake tied up in a big pink sugarcrafted bow!
The cake was a huge success and was enjoyed by all the familyand friends on the day although Amy then ate the rest herself!

Here in the La Maison kitchen we loved making this cake and it was great fun incorporating personalised pieces and pretty glittery pink loveliness!

This cake would look fantastic as any centrepiece at a party, whatever the age!
Any colourway including the inside sponge can be made and can also be made up for boys theme’s too!
